Poster Presentation Instructions

Poster Session: Gold Room of the Francis Marion Hotel.

Poster Size: No higher than 4 feet (120 cm) and no wider than 8 feet (240 cm).

Be sure to include the abstract title, author names, and the institution where the work was completed, in large letters centered at the top of the poster. Place your address, phone number and email address in the upper right-hand corner.

Lay your poster sections in logical order so that other scientists can follow your presentation. A good method is setting up your poster in a column format so that individuals interested can read your poster, 1st Vertical, then top to bottom, and then left to right.

Use a type size that can be read easily from a considerable distance (4 feet or more). Try using a type between 14 - 20 pt. The title should be larger than the rest of the text. Select a legible font such as Arial, Times Roma, Times New Roman, Baskerville, or Palatino.

Poster sessions will be grouped by topic, assigned a board number and will appear in the Meeting booklet you will receive at registration.

If you wish to keep your poster, you must remove your poster no later than 5:00 pm on the day of your presentation. We will not be responsible for poster boards left up after 5:00 pm on the day of presentation.   

Presenting authors must be present at their posters from 4:30 – 6:00 pm on the day of presentation.   

Please refer to your poster time and date via email that will be sent to the presenting author.

If you are presenting a poster, you must be registered for the conference.

Push pins will be available in the Gold Room for you to place your poster on the 4 x 8 feet board.   Each side of each board will be numbered.
